EMT Instructor

Description

AAES Instructors are responsible for the didactic and psychomotor training of students to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and the National EMS Scope of Practice Model standards and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• Current EMT certification, for at least two years, by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), or current Paramedic certification by the NREMT.
• Current AZ EMT or Paramedic certification.
• Current Healthcare Provider level CPR Certification.
• Minimum two years experience as an EMT and/or Paramedic in the hospital or pre-hospital setting.

Preferred Requirements

• Higher Education such as Associates or Bachelor's degree
• Teaching experience

Paramedic Instructor

Description

AAES Instructors are responsible for the didactic and psychomotor training of students to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and the National EMS Scope of Practice Model standards and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Paramedic certification, for at least two years, by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
• Current AZ Paramedic certification
• Current Healthcare Provider level CPR Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider certification
• Trauma provider certification such as Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
• Minimum five years experience as a Paramedic in the hospital or prehospital setting, or two years experience and a Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Teaching experience
• BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS Instructor certifications
• NAEMT Instructor certifications in PHTLS and/or AMLS

Proctor

Description

AAES Proctors are responsible for the psychomotor training of students to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and the National EMS Scope of Practice Model standards and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• Current EMT certification, for at least two years, by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), or current Paramedic certification by the NREMT.
• Current AZ EMT or Paramedic certification.
• Current Healthcare Provider level CPR Certification.
• Minimum two years experience as an EMT and/or Paramedic in the hospital or prehospital setting.

Lab Coordinator

Description

The Lab Coordinator at AAES is responsible for cleaning/organizing/maintaining the equipment in the classroom and skills labs, pricing and submitting equipment purchase orders to the General Manager, and more.

Minimum Requirements

• State of Arizona EMT or Paramedic certification
• Co-requisite or pre-requisite of current AAES employment of at least Proctor.
